5-Star Reviews
We love when families and residents share their success stories.
I was a patient as a transfer from UC Davis hosp. When I arrived, I was taken to my rm to get settled. My new roommate, Helen, was wonderful. The staff quickly introduced themselves, from my nurses, Na, kitchen mtg, arts & crafts, bingo.. I was quickly surprised by the fun and laughter as I was healing. Pt and Ot really worked me out every day. I appreciated their time and care to help me be better at moving & strength building. 3 wks later, I was cleared to go home. I was happy and sad. I really loved these folks. Thank you, Darod, Leslie, Nurses, All staff for your amazing parts in my healing journey. Thank you.
Yesterday there was a team conference to plan my best friend’s care. The staff heard her 2 major health concerns & took immediate action to address them. Today they recognized how exhausted she was from her medical treatment last night in the ER, and did their best to promote rest while still providing PT to improve her function. She is genuinely being seen as an individual & not being treated as just any other patient
If you are looking for the best care and a clean facility this is it! My 93-year-old mother spent 6 weeks here. The staff is awesome, the doctor actually calls you back, and the physical therapists are top-notch! Especially Mark, he is an asset here! The cleaning crew here works around the clock! No smell ever! I would highly recommend it! Thanks for all of the wonderful care you provided my mom.
In a time when my mother really needed help, the staff here was dedicated, professional, caring and communicative. I believe they really cared about, not only my mother’s care, but our family’s knowledge and understanding of my mother’s situation, care plan and recovery. The office staff was always friendly and always took our calls, and answered our questions, providing helpful and thorough answers. I fully recommend this facility, should you ever need services such as these.
5 STAR only because I couldn’t give it a HIGHER rating. Excellent service provided by the nursing staff. Casey showed us around and was very professional. Clean environment. We had a private room for our loved one. Therapy team available every day!!! If you need a post-acute facility, LOOK NO FURTHER!
This place is wonderful, a gem tucked away, almost invisible in Sacramento. My mother stayed here for 3 weeks and they rehabilitated her well enough to return home. Everyone I encountered from cleaning people, nurses, kitchen servers, the social worker – Derard, Amy, head nurse, physical therapists, the dietician, all cared and were very competent. I checked several places out before choosing a facility and this was the only one that did not smell like feces and urine. It’s a clean, well-maintained, and uplifting place. They even let me bring my mom’s dog to visit her everyday. Everyone was friendly and very attentive.
My husband broke his hip and we had to choose a rehab hospital for him. I chose this one because it was close to the hospital he was in. I am so glad that I chose this one. It is clean and bright. The food is good. It is well staffed. The therapists are the best. After two weeks my husband came home stronger than he had been before his fall. I wouldn’t hesitate to put any of my family members in this facility including myself.
I spent 20 days at UPAR upon the recommendation of my surgeon following hip replacement and it was by far the best decision I ever made in my life. I lacked for nothing and everyone was dedicated to my comfort and recovery. The place is super clean and bright, and I never encountered anyone without a friendly smile and desire to assist me in every way possible. The rooms are comfortable and there are fun activities planned for every day. The meals were nutritious and the dietician took special note of my food preferences. I spent a lot of time among the other patients and as others have said, I never smelled urine, even on those patients I knew to be incontinent. The CNAs and nurses were very responsive to my needs and I never went more than 10 minutes without a reply to my call. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone needing rehabilitative care and would return there myself without hesitation should the need arise.
My rehab here was very helpful and productive. I am very thankful to the staff here. Everyone from physical therapy, occupational therapy. The kitchen staff were very helpful. I have celiac disease and must eat a wheat and gluten free diet. I have type one diabetes also. The kitchen staff was ready for my late arrival, and had a delicious chefs salad ready for me to eat. They were very attentive to all my many needs. They were always kind and patient with me. I truly can’t say enough good things about the care here. If you are looking for a place for a loved one or for yourself consider this place carefully. Thank you to everyone.
